At Arrow, we love getting letters from our customers! Below is a before and after testimonial on a hand bag we received. The customer believed this bag was beyond repair. We love when we can restore a loved possession that was thought to have no hope.
I am just absolutely amazed!
I brought my B. Makowsky handbag in with absolutely no hope of it being able to be cleaned. A hot pink sharpie marker had been thrown in my bag and had spent a night absorbing into the leather. My beautiful metallic handbag had a rather large hot pink dot on it. I was devastated.
I was blown away when I picked up the bag. Still can't believe it. The bag looks brand new. The color is fantastic. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
This story and photographs are from an Arrow customer who was hoping for a miracle
"I need your prayers this week. For what? The weirdest thing you can imagine.
"I took my family heirloom 1920s? full length Bear Skin Coat and Mittens (yes mittens) to Arrow Cleaners today for cleaning and a little preservation. This awesome and unique item hung in my parents attic closet for decades, then about 10 years ago my parents asked us kids if there was anything we wanted in the house. I said, "Yes, the bearskin coat." Everyone simultaneously went, "The what?"
"As the story goes, the bear was shot on my great grandfather's farm in central KS and they made a coat, and mittens, out of it. I was pretty skeptical about that story, but the label inside says "Three Rivers Robe Tannery". According to old ads on the internet, they actually specialized in having people send in hides to be made into robes and coats. Hmmm.
"So Arrow is not sure what will happen to this coat when cleaned, and I know if anyone can clean it they can, but it might be just too dry and get more damaged.
"So pray for my Bear Skin Coat and Mittens to come back glistening and beautiful, and not in bits that I have to make a bearskin pillow out of.

So, my post above was a few weeks ago and we picked up my Bear Skin Coat and Mittens today. Arrow, you are amazing. I would have never thought this coat could actually go from 50 years in my parents attic, to actually luxurious. You are miracle workers and I am sure you spent more time on this than you charged me for.
You have made this family "novelty" truly a family "heirloom.
Thank you so much. Bob S. - Kansas City
Note from Arrow: "Bob you look absolutely marvelous in your newly restored bearskin coat & mittens! Thank you for trusting us with this very precious family heirloom, and thank you for your kind words about Arrow! We are so happy that you were pleased with our work, Warmest regards.
Arrow receives many complimentary letters, emails and phone calls...Following are some of the most recent ones. We're proud of our work and cherish the reputation we have earned over the years.
This rough and tumble Robert Comstock Wild Austrian Chamois jacket was damaged by a substance that created a chemical burn. It was a write-off until the owner was directed to Arrow. Arrow took charge and was able to acquire a new replacement skin that we finished to a perfect match. The customer was delighted with the results.
Wild Austrian Chamois is a unique leather that designer Robert Comstock uses for this limited edition ultra-fashionable rugged jacket. Comstock, an Idahoan (Sun Valley), specializes in some of the most unique suedes and leather for outerwear that is both durable and comfortable to wear in any conditions.
Arrow always loves a difficult (or impossible) challenge and most often meets and exceeds customer expectations. Here's what the owner said in an email note to us:
"Just a quick note to let you know that I returned from Argentina and had the pleasure that my jacket had arrived. It looks absolutely great. Thank you very much for all your help!!"
"You can't improve on perfection. You took us under your wing and made us feel like family as we made our way through racks of belongings (after our fire). Taking me to see how the process worked made me even more appreciative of your hard work. Please don't change a thing (in the way you do business). It's a wonderful business. I believe Cindy D. with Allstate sent you to us. Whoever sent you, we will be eternally grateful. I will be honored to let everyone know of the understanding, personal and professional service you provided during such a difficult time. I truly hope no one would ever need to endure this. But the compassion you showed to our family will surely be rewarded to you and each of your hard-working employees."
Forever Grateful, Kurt, Kathy and Matt M. - Kansas City
The letter following was written to Escada and as you'll read, it was highly complimentary of Arrow Fabricare's work and service. Escada kindly forwarded us a copy. The letter follows, but first, here's a little background on Escada. It is a group of companies that ranks among the worldwide market leaders for ready-to-wear women’s fashion in the high-end segment. ESCADA is sold in over 80 countries worldwide. Arrow specializes in cleaning and restoring high-end garments and leathers, including fashionable handbags like the Escada bag shown above.
This letter to Escada is from their customer, Faith R., Katonah, NY.
"I am very grateful to Escada because 20 years ago I bought a black and white "zebra" like jacket which was quite expensive. It was quite a stretch for me financially since I had just graduated from business school.
"About a week after I bought it, I was taking the bus to work and sat on a seat that had water on it and the black ran into the white. Naturally, I was devastated. I took the jacket back and told there were no more jackets to replace it, but you offered to clean it. I was extremely skeptical about your ability to clean it properly given the extent of the stain. About two weeks later I received the jacket back from Arrow Fabricare Services in Kansas City. The jacket was perfect and I was thrilled. Since that time I have sent any hard-to-handle problem with my clothing to Arrow and they have never disappointed me (including recently re-weaving 35 cashmere sweaters for me when moths attacked my closet).
"Earlier this summer I was wearing a black and white Escada skirt when I was watering my plants and the skirt got wet and the black ran into the white. I spoke with the store manager on the phone about the situation and she was not particularly helpful. I sent the skirt to Arrow and they spent one month working on it and restored it to its original elegance.
"I wanted to take the time to tell you this story because while I thought the way this was handled by the store in New York was not particularly professional, I do have you to thank for introducing me to Arrow many years ago. They do remarkable work and if you ever have clients who need work done, they really do an outstanding job. Thank you."
Many thanks to Ms. Faith R. for her kind words. She is one of over 10,000 customers nationwide that put their trust and faith and treasured garments in our care every year.

This just doesn't happen everyday! Recently a good customer who lives in the Florida Keys sent in two leather and fur combo garments for repair and restoration.
One required re-lining. It was done and returned. But, through an oversight we forgot to charge for the re-lining.
To our surprise, the customer called in with compliments and to say thanks for the great job. She also told us that she thought that we didn't charge enough for the work! We checked and sure enough, we discovered our error.
Arrow sure has the greatest customers in the world. And we are extremely grateful. So, we wish this wonderful customer, Peggy K. of Summerland, FL the very best for the New Year. And we also wish a Happy New Year to all our 10,000+ clients throughout the U.S.
